GOD and I

  • December 15, 2009

How do you connect to God?
The word God doesn’t feature in my life, at least not in the way it is commonly understood, as it has no form or name. But I do believe there is a cosmic energy that manifests in nature and we too are part of that awe-inspiring creation. I do feel connected to that energy, in simple joys of life, but also when I am feeling down. It is experiential and not a theory that can be put in words.

Karma & kismet to you are?
An excuse to not exercise your free will. I feel perhaps there is a larger road map, but within that what route one takes is all about choices. For me, my journey is my destination so I focus on the travel. I believe every choice you make brings you to a crossroad and then you choose again and that is how you carve your path. Of course there will be many other variables, but I have seen, if the choices are made with honesty, the path emerges.

True contentment lies in…
Living every moment and having no expectations. If one could just, be in the present and live life simply, it would take care of a lot of self-created mess. Of course this is easier said than done, but there is no way of reaching there if one doesn’t even try. In being truthful, aware, and compassionate in the moment, we’d be more content. I am still a long way away, but thank God (figuratively speaking!), on my way.
