Rainwater Harvesting

The story

This public service ad aims to create a curiosity around rainwater harvesting and the role each one of us can play in preserving water. It is a poetic and conceptual approach to communicate an environmental solution.

Director’s note

This was the first ‘film’ I directed. We shot it on 35mm with a cinematographer whom I later worked with on my first feature film, Firaaq. This film was shot in Kolkata with a cast of mostly junior artists. This film travelled to various environments and short film festivals in India and abroad. It won much appreciation, accolades and created awareness about the issue.
